Hives which is generally in medical term known with the name urticaria is a skin problem which can occur to anybody at any age. Hives are of two types acute hives and chronic hives depending on the duration of time. Hives are generally raised, red, itchy, swollen areas of skin and generally appear at hands, legs, arms, stomach and other parts of our body. Hives can also be treated by applying home remedies for hives.
Hives generally appears because of release of chemical known as histamine into skin. Histamine is present in white blood cells of our body. And when these white blood cells get stimulated histamines and other chemicals are released and cause hives appearing in certain parts of our body.

Getting cool bath or compressing the area of hives with cold water will relief from the itching and pain. Applying alkaline solution like milk of magnesia on the affected area also provides relief from ithching and irritation caused by hives.
One of the effective remedy for hives treatment is take a tub and fill it with lukewarm water add half cup of baking soda and half cup of cornstarch powder to it and soak your body in this solution at least once in a day. Applying Aloe vera cream on the affected area also helps to get rid of hives. You can also go for applying Vitamin E oil on the hives at least two times in a day on the affected area to treat hives.
Apart from these home remedies for hives you can also go for using a anti histamine drug Known as Oxy hives which prove to very beneficial in the treatment of hives and has no side effects.
